During the meeting, the following topics will be discussed:

• to whom you can turn for help in a dangerous situation
• what the powers of the Police and the Municipal Police are
• what the most dangerous places in the city are
• how not tobecome a victim
• what you mustn’t do and what you can be fined for
• public transport and taxis

Setting-up Smart Goals for Personal Growth Workshop
on 7th December (Thursday), 09.30 am – 04.30 pm.

ADAPTATION WORKSHOPS

for international UW Students

Welcome Point UW organises adaptation workshops and diverse training for international
students as a part of Welcome Days and Welcome Month.

The nearest events are:
1. Onboarding at the University of Warsaw workshop
● Time: 26 September, 3.00 pm – 7.15 pm

2. Cultural Orientation in Poland workshop
● Time: 5 October, 3.00 pm – 7.15 pm

Upcoming adaptation workshops are financed by ZIP programme and dedicated specifically
to full-time and long-term: 2nd and 3rd year BA (undergraduate) students, MA (postgraduate) students, 4th and 5th year long-cycle students.

The same set of workshops for all international students and PhD students (of all years,
short-term or long-term) will take place on the 18th of October (Onboarding at UW) and
7th of November (Cultural Orientation).

Another Year, Another Exciting Welcome Day!

We cordially extend an invitation to all new international long-term students for a special orientation event tailored to provide you with vital information as you embark on your journey as a new member of the University of Warsaw (UW) community.

During this event, you will gain valuable insights into the University’s structure and functions, discover the myriad opportunities it offers, familiarize yourself with essential guidelines, and deepen your understanding of our esteemed institution.

The training takes place on 30th May, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, on Faculty of Modern
Languages.

Welcome Point UW invites you to a meeting on Legalizing your stay in Poland, dedicated to foreign students and doctoral students of the UW.

• Legalization of stay in Poland (visa, temporary and permanent residence permit);
• The procedure for applying for a residence permit;
• Polish origins and rights of the holders of the Card of the Pole;
• Special solutions for foreigners caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meetings will be held on the Main Campus:

• in Polish: Monday 22 May from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• in English: Thursday 25 May from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
