Dean’s Hours on May 7, until 4:00 PM

In order to enable members of our Community to participate in the funeral of Professor Janusz Grzelak on May 7, we are announcing the Dean’s Hours at our Faculty, which will be in effect that day from the morning until 4:00 PM.

The funeral ceremony of Professor Janusz Grzelak will take place on May 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home in Room B at the Cmentarz Północny (Northern Communal Cemetery in Warsaw, known as Wólka Węglowa), followed by a graveside service.

Professor Janusz Grzelak served as Dean of our Faculty and initiated many important scientific, social, and ethical initiatives, including the establishment of the Robert Zajonc Institute of Social Studies at the University of Warsaw and the establishment of the Center for Research on Prejudice at the University of Warsaw. He supported the process of restoring democracy in our country (including his role as an advisor to „Solidarność”, Independent Self-Governing Trade Union „Solidarity”, during Polish Round Table Agreement).
