Conference season begins for our students

Monika Gurak at PsychoSlav in Zadar, Croatia

May marks the beginning of the conference season in academia and this year is no exception for our students.

At Psycholinguistics of Slavic Languages (PsychoSlav) in Zadar, Croatia (27–29 May 2026), Monika Gurak presented a poster titled “Non-local Genitive of Negation is not (always) obligatory”.

Earlier, two of our students presented their work at Zderzenia Poznawcze (Cognitive Collisions), a student conference organised by the BA programme in Cognitive Science (16–17 May 2026). Maksymilian Kamiński gave a talk titled “Blurring Boundaries: Agency and the Illusion of Consciousness in Artificial Intelligence. Perceived Agency and the Effectiveness of AI-Powered Psychological Support”, while Jan Opala presented “Cognitive Workload in the Fraction Addition Task in the Presence of Metacognitive Cues”.

Congratulations to all three presenters!
