Architectural Grand Prix for our building

Central atrium of the Faculty of Psychology building

The building that houses the Faculty of Psychology and serves as the home of Masters in CogSci at the University of Warsaw has received the Grand Prix of the 15th Architectural Award of Polityka, one of Poland’s leading weekly magazines.

The jury praised the building for combining openness and opportunities for interaction with spaces that support focused work and study. Particular attention was given to its spacious ground floor, common areas, and the large central patio, described as a contemporary agora that encourages meetings, conversations, and collaboration.

For our students, this building is much more than an architectural project. It is where lectures, research meetings, student initiatives, and everyday conversations take place. The award adds to a growing list of distinctions received by the building and recognises a space that has become an important part of the academic and social life of our community.
